Rigging for Talley Metals

Working in a metals plant involves many different styles of cranes, slings, rigging hardware and knowledge.

Rigging a load to the overhead crane or mobile crane requires precise movements but also requires adequate knowledge of calculating the weight of the load. How to pick up the load correctly over the center of gravity using the correct slings.

Learning the safety factors of each type of sling, environmental conditions and rejection criteria were all discussed during the most recent rigging training held at Talley Metals located in Hartsville, SC.

Congratulations to the attendees for successfully completing their rigging 101 qualifications.
