How many slings?

This is what I observed as I walk through a truck shop.

1-The question is how many slings can I fit in the hook?

2-How much hook can be used within the sling eyes?

3-Does this really look safe?

These are some of the questions I ask when providing training and inspections. It still amazes me that companies do not train the employees to know that this is so wrong. The reply I typically get from a supervisor or the person actually admitting to doing it, is         ” I have been doing this for 20 years and nothing bad has happened”.

Please do not allow this to happen at your facility and stop anyone who is doing this. If you do not get your training from us at CCTI, Inc. at least get your employees some training.

Start 2018 off safely and help get those numbers down this year.                                      5,190 fatalities are too many!!!
