Just returned from a great week in Staunton, Virginia. What a beautiful part of the country. Was welcomed by a company called Homestead Material Handling. Forklift Sales, Rentals, Service & Parts Dealers in Virginia. Their Mission Statement: We are a professional material handling equipment distributor dedicated to solving our customer’s needs by selling, installing, and applying superior products. We meet customer expectations by the most efficient application of our services. Our goal is to do it right the first time, on time, every time.
Provided training to several branch service technicians. You can count on a very certified overhead crane inspection when working with Homestead Material Handling. When in the Virginia area and you have overhead cranes, contact Homestead Material Handling for you service, repairs and OSHA required inspections.
During the training had the opportunity to take a few snaps of the technicians taking apart electric and manual hoist. Lots of learning on how to set gaps on load brakes and electric brakes. How to take apart a hoist and what to replace. Using chain gauges, sheave gauges, calipers, and feeler gauges were all required to complete this course and demonstrate the gaps setting points. All of the technicians demonstrated a thorough knowledge of both mechanical and electrical theory.
Congratulations to the newest 6 Overhead Crane Inspectors for the State of Virginia area.
Thank you David Sorrells and Paul Gladwell for your hospitality and providing us all with a great place to provide training, laughs, and learning.
Hope to see you again soon.
